Strandhaus Lindau: regional gourmet experiences

Park-Camping Lindau welcomes many guests who have been coming to us again and again for decades. This is certainly also due to the unique charm of our site with its little extras that are unique to us. The Strandhaus restaurant, for example, has been serving real culinary highlights from the grill and BBQ smoker for 15 years now, catering for meat fans and vegetarians alike. The culinary offering at the Strandhaus restaurant changes almost daily, as from 2025 there will be a daily menu instead of a fixed menu, although highlights such as the butter-tender spare ribs will continue to have their place on the daily menu. The ‘Strandhaus Lindau’ run by barbecue professional Klaus Winter and his wife Jasmin Schwabe-Winter (sommelier) only uses fresh, high-quality products from the Lake Constance region and the AllgĂ€u. And everything is always fresh and home-cooked. Cooking times of up to 14 hours and homemade spice blends transform meat from AllgĂ€u pasture-raised beef and Upper Swabian pork into wonderfully tender specialities. Incidentally, the ‘Strandhaus’ has been ranked number one among all restaurants in Lindau on the renowned travel and review portal TripAdvisor for 10 years. And with the additional Travellers Choice Award, the restaurant is one of the ten percent best restaurants in the world according to TripAdvisor.

New in 2025 The Strandhaus Stage

Brand new this year is a permanently installed cabaret stage in the Strandhaus, where talented singer-songwriters perform every one to two weeks. These are atmospheric live music evenings at a pleasant volume, starting at 8.30 pm, where the artists and their music take centre stage. The next three concerts – as well as the current day ticket – can be found on the Strandhaus website at www.strandhaus.li

Barbecue Academy at Strandhaus

His entertaining and informative barbecue seminars are usually fully booked in no time at all. Whether all-round courses with multi-course menus on charcoal, gas, tepanyaki and high-temperature grills or seminars on topics such as the barbecue smoker, fine special cuts of beef and pork or completely homemade BBQ sauces and chutneys – at all seminars, the barbecue professional is at your side with his know-how. So be quick. It’s best to book your tickets for Klaus Winter’s barbecue school before you go on vacation!

Beachbar Loge 66A

Thanks to the beach bar at Park-Camping Lindau, it is only a few meters from the caravan or tent to the Aperol on the lakeshore. The Loge 66A is a small but fine kiosk, housed in a mint green trailer, surrounded by inviting deckchairs. Right on the lakeshore, with a view of Lindau Island and a remarkable Alpine panorama, the Aperol tastes even better on balmy summer evenings. In addition to coffee, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, you can also get small snacks and ice cream here.

Opening hours:
Loge 66A is open from 11am to 9.30pm in good weather.

How did the Loge get its name?
The name is derived from the kiosk’s prime location. The location on the lake is close to navigation mark 66a, which is used by Lake Constance ships for orientation and marks the entrance to Lindau-Zech harbor.
